Cedro Mineração is a mining company specializing in the extraction, processing and sale of iron ore, the raw material that sustains the production of various sectors of the national and global economy. Our operations are based on significant investments in technology, research and development of sustainable production, with great respect for the environment, in order to consolidate the company as a benchmark in the Brazilian mining sector.

We started our operations at the Gama Mine, which had already been operational since the 1990s, in the municipality of Nova Lima. In 2020, Cedro Mineração acquired Extrativa Mineral, which was previously responsible for the Gama Mine, and became responsible for the operation.
Committed to being at the forefront of mining, in 2020 we had the old tailings dam at Mina do Gama de-characterized by the ANM, invested in the process of filtering 100% of the tailings generated, with subsequent dry stacking, promoted the reuse of approximately 85% of the water used in the production process, intensified environmental, health and safety management of operations, in addition to supporting and investing in various social actions.
In 2022, we started our new operation in the city of Mariana.
We generate around 1,500 direct jobs, in addition to another 1,500 indirect jobs, as transporters of our product and service providers, focused on personal and professional development, health and safety. We constantly invest in training our team of employees, who work in the Nova Lima and Mariana operations.
We are among the leading iron ore mining companies in Brazil. With two mines in operation, located in the cities of Nova Lima and Mariana, in Minas Gerais, we produce around seven million tons a year.
